Job summary

Qualifications

• 3+ years of surgical scheduling experience, preferably in plastic/cosmetic surgery or related fields.
• Experience in Revenue Cycle Management, healthcare finance, insurance verification, and authorizations is strongly preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional experience is preferred.
• Strong project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to explain scheduling, benefits, and financial obligations to patients.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in records and processes.
• Experience with insurance verification, authorizations, and payer requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maximize and manage surgical schedules across multiple offices and providers.
• Coordinate all procedures, surgeries, and pre-operative appointments.
• Collaborate with patients, physicians, anesthesia, and staff to optimize bookings.
• Obtain insurance benefits, authorizations, and pre-authorizations with billing support.
• Review medical clearances and required documentation prior to surgery.
• Schedule, reschedule, and manage patient appointments with high service levels.
• Monitor scheduling metrics and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and revenue.
• Maintain EMR records, including authorizations and supporting documents.
• Coordinate with billing and revenue cycle teams on demographics and reimbursement workflows.
• Communicate patient financial responsibilities and expectations clearly.
• Identify revenue opportunities and reduce gaps and delays in scheduling.
• Provide project updates to leadership and support departmental goals.
