Job summary

Capital Health is seeking an experienced nurse scheduler/medical office coordinator to manage procedure scheduling, insurance pre-certifications, and patient flow at our facilities. The role requires an accredited nursing degree, an RN license in NJ or PA, and BLS certification with at least one year in acute, urgent care, or outpatient settings.

The position involves front desk duties, scheduling optimization, and collaboration with physicians and departments to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or graduation from an accredited school of nursing is required.
• NJ or PA RN license based on primary state office location or multi-state compact license required.
• BSN preferred.
• Must have applied for second out-of-state RN license within three months of hire.
• AHA BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Schedule procedures and testing, coordinating with OR and GI Endoscopy Unit.
• Obtain pre-certification and referrals from insurance carriers.
• Manage front desk operations, patient check-in/out, and medical records.
• Coordinate physician scheduling and department resources to maximize productivity.
• Assist co-workers during peak periods and handle patient concerns promptly.
