Capital Health System, Inc. is seeking a nursing-focused Scheduling Coordinator to coordinate surgical cases, obtain pre-certifications, and ensure efficient patient flow across departments.

The role emphasizes collaboration with physicians, insurance carriers, and hospital teams to optimize scheduling and utilization of resources. Candidates should have an RN license with a nursing degree and ideally a BSN.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• BSN preferred.
• NJ or PA license based on primary state office location or multi-state compact license required.
• Must have applied for second out of state RN license within three months from date of hire.
• One year experience in an acute, urgent care or outpatient setting.
• AHA BLS - Healthcare Provider

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with OR and GI Endoscopy Unit to schedule cases, negotiating date and time.
• Obtains pre-certification and authorizations from various insurance carriers.
• Schedules procedures and testing for patients in a timely manner.
• Oversees registration, patient flow and medical records for efficient services.
• Plans daily schedule to maximize physician productivity and coordinates resources.
