Job summary

Cloudera is seeking a Solutions Engineer in the United States to lead the technical sales cycle and partner with Account Managers to drive customer success with Cloudera technologies.

You will own demonstrations, design solutions using reference architectures, and translate complex data needs into actionable outcomes while delivering compelling technical presentations at conferences and meetups.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a customer-facing role, preferably pre-sales.
• Ability to create and deliver technical presentations.
• Experience with cloud providers (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Experience with data engineering, data science or ML.
• Strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical sales process from introductory meetings through post-sales.
• Support customers' technical needs and discover new use cases for Cloudera's technology.
• Design solutions for customers using Cloudera technologies based on reference architectures.
• Demonstrate Cloudera products to inspire customers to say yes.
• Partner with Account Managers to show customers the value of Cloudera solutions and drive sales.
• Present product roadmap and vision to inspire bigger thinking.
• Interface with other Cloudera teams to deliver a unified customer voice.
• Advocate for customer needs to Product Management and Engineering.
• Participate in external publicity and evangelism (conferences, meetups, webinars, blogs).
