Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking a Small Business Relationship Manager NMLS to deliver excellent service and provide financial solutions to small business clients with annual revenues typically between $500K and $5M.

The role blends digital tools with personal relationships and maintains a client portfolio. You will prospect for new clients, deepen existing relationships, structure loans and deposit products, and collaborate with underwriting and portfolio teams to ensure strong credit quality and revenue

Qualifications

• Expert-level consultative selling, financial analysis, and relationship management.
• Advanced business acumen, underwriting expertise, and product knowledge.
• Strong understanding of banking operations, sales, new business development and community relations.
• Professionalism and working knowledge of lending policies, credit structures and regulatory requirements.
• Typically a bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience and three to four years of experience in relationship banking.

Responsibilities

• Prospect for new small business clients and deepen existing relationships to drive revenue growth.
• Conduct discovery conversations to understand each client’s business needs and goals.
• Serve as the primary contact for small business clients and recommend solutions across loans, deposits, and cash management.
• Design and structure financial solutions aligned to client objectives and credit standards.
• Monitor portfolio performance and credit quality and apply underwriting judgment.
• Partner with underwriting, portfolio management, and internal teams to support reporting and client outcomes.
• Address client concerns and coordinate across business lines to deliver integrated solutions.
• Build relationships in the community and identify opportunities to increase visibility and impact.
