U.S. Bank is seeking a Small Business Relationship Manager NMLS to deliver excellent customer service and provide comprehensive financial solutions to small business clients with annual revenues generally between $500K and $2.5 million.

The role deepens existing relationships through routine calls and business development activities, balancing digital tools with human connections while managing a growing portfolio and collaborating with internal teams to drive revenue and client outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 3–4 years of experience in relationship banking.
• Expert-level consultative selling and relationship management skills.
• Advanced underwriting knowledge and product knowledge for client solutions.
• Familiarity with lending policies, credit structures and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prospect for new small business clients and deepen existing relationships to drive year-over-year revenue growth, loan production, deposits, and broader relationship value.
• Conduct discovery conversations to understand each client’s business, goals, financial needs, credit profile, and growth opportunities.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for small business clients and recommend appropriate solutions across loans, deposits, cash management, and other core banking products.
• Design and structure financial solutions aligned to client objectives, credit standards, portfolio quality expectations, and responsible banking practices.
• Manage portfolio performance and credit quality by monitoring market trends, identifying developing risk indicators, and applying sound underwriting judgment.
• Partner with underwriting, portfolio management, and internal teams to support timely reporting, responsive portfolio management, and effective client outcomes.
• Address client concerns and coordinate across business lines, engaging additional specialists as needed to deliver integrated solutions.
• Build relationships in the community, engage with local organizations, and identify business development opportunities that increase visibility and support community impact.
