Job summary

Univar Solutions is seeking a Sales General Manager to oversee the sales team, drive revenue, and shape strategies from a home-based base serving Cincinnati and surrounding markets. You will recruit and coach a high-performing team, foster client relationships, and steer market analysis to identify growth opportunities.

The role demands 5+ years in B2B sales leadership (chemical sales a plus), 50%+ travel readiness, and strong communication across all levels.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in a related field, or 10+ years of equivalent industry experience.
Experience in a business-to-business sales organization with 5+ years sales leadership experience; Chemical sales experience is an asset.
Experience with customer and territory management.
Knowledge of pricing and marketing strategy.
Ability to travel up to 50%.
Effective and engaging communication skills.
Ability to relate to, and communicate with individuals at all levels.

Responsibilities

Design and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company goals and expand our customer base.
Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing sales team. Provide ongoing support, performance feedback, and coaching.
Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships, ensuring high customer satisfaction.
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify potential areas for growth.
Develop and manage the sales budget, and work to meet or exceed sales quotas.
Analyze sales metrics, prepare reports, and provide insights to senior management to guide decision-making.
