Univar Solutions is seeking a dynamic Sales General Manager to lead our sales team and partner with senior management on strategic plans. This remote role covers multiple U.S.

markets, including Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, Pittsburgh, Indianapolis, and Louisville, KY. You will drive revenue targets, mentor a high-performance team, and build lasting client relationships, while analyzing market trends and coordinating pricing/marketing strategy to achieve growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in a related field, or 10+ years of equivalent industry experience.
• 5+ years sales leadership in a B2B sales organization; chemical sales experience is a plus.
• Experience with customer and territory management.
• Knowledge of pricing and marketing strategy.
• Ability to travel up to 50%.
• Effective and engaging communication skills.
• Ability to relate to, and communicate with individuals at all levels.
• Recognize and monitor market conditions, trends, and competitor activities.

Responsibilities

• Sales Strategy Development: Design and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company goals and expand our customer base.
• Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing sales team. Provide ongoing support, performance feedback, and coaching.
• Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships, ensuring high customer satisfaction.
• Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify potential areas for growth.
• Revenue and Profitability: Develop and manage the sales budget, and work to meet or exceed sales quotas.
• Sales Reporting: Analyze sales metrics, prepare reports, and provide insights to senior management to guide decision-making.
