Job summary

Univar Solutions USA Inc. seeks a Sales General Manager to oversee the sales team and partner with senior management to craft and execute revenue-driving strategies. The role emphasizes strong client relationships, a high-performance sales culture, and alignment with corporate goals.

You will develop sales plans, recruit and coach staff, monitor market trends, and manage budgets to hit quotas. Travel up to 50% to grow the customer base across multiple regions, while communicating effectively

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 10+ years of equivalent industry experience.
• 5+ years sales leadership experience in B2B; chemical sales experience is a plus.
• Experience with customer and territory management.
• Knowledge of pricing and marketing strategy.
• Travel up to 50%.
• Effective and engaging communication skills.
• Ability to relate to, and communicate with, individuals at all levels.
• Recognize and monitor market conditions, trends, and competitor activities.

Responsibilities

• Sales Strategy Development: Design and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company goals and expand our customer base.
• Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing sales team. Provide ongoing support, performance feedback, and coaching.
• Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships, ensuring high customer satisfaction.
• Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify potential areas for growth.
• Revenue and Profitability: Develop and manage the sales budget, and work to meet or exceed sales quotas.
• Sales Reporting: Analyze sales metrics, prepare reports, and provide insights to senior management to guide decision-making.
