Job summary

Nextpower seeks a Sales Director, Power Conversion to lead the commercial strategy and sales execution for our power conversion portfolio. Based in Fremont, CA, with remote work considered only when approved in advance, this role builds customer relationships, guides complex sales pursuits, and collaborates with Engineering, Product, Operations, Finance, and Legal to drive profitable growth.

You will set objectives, lead a seasoned sales team, and create policies that govern deal qualification,

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
10+ years of technical or complex B2B sales experience, including leading teams, sales programs, or multi-disciplinary work.
Previous solar inverter or power conversion experience.
Experience setting operating plans, developing sales processes, allocating resources, and managing budgets.
Executive-level communication, negotiation, and influencing skills; able to persuade stakeholders in sensitive situations.

Responsibilities

Set the power conversion sales strategy, annual and multi-year objectives, territory plans and work plans.
Lead, coach, and develop the sales organization; establish performance expectations and build capability.
Own forecast quality and CRM discipline; review pipeline health and deal risks with leadership.
Build senior-level relationships with customers, developers, EPCs, utilities, and partners.
Lead complex, multi-stakeholder sales pursuits from qualification to close.
