Job summary

Nationwide is seeking a Relationship Manager for Retirement Solutions to support Corporate/Private Sector clients in the Southeast and Carolinas. You will manage small- to mid-size retirement plans, lead service teams, and drive profitable relationships with sponsors, advisors, TPAs, and other providers.

The role requires 5+ years in financial services with retirement plan focus, strong project management, and regulatory knowledge. Remote work from a home office with up to 75% travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Five years in the financial services industry, with at least three years focused on retirement plans.
• Experience managing relationships with plan sponsors and advisor/consultants of retirement plans.
• Understanding of the retirement plan business and 401k and 403b markets.
• Working knowledge of ERISA, qualified plan design, recordkeeping, administration and plan investments and account implementation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the integrated service team by coordinating home office support functions and additional resources to grow and retain key relationships.
• Establishes, grows and retains profitable relationships with plan sponsors, advisor/consultants, TPAs and other service providers through a proactive strategic account management process.
• Develops and executes a strategic business plan for each client that aligns with Nationwide and service providers.
• Supports small plan sales acquisition through positioning our service model and the benefits to the plan sponsor and plan participants.
• Leads client onboarding process including familiarizing the plan sponsor with Nationwide tools and services and partners with implementation team to ensure a smooth onboarding process.
