Job summary

Nationwide is seeking a Relationship Manager for Retirement Solutions in the Southeast and Carolinas to manage defined retirement plans and maintain key sponsor relationships. You will coordinate with advisors, TPAs and other providers, driving plan profitability and participant engagement.

The role requires extensive travel (up to 75%), a strong background in retirement plans, and the ability to collaborate across teams to deliver exceptional service.

Qualifications

• Five years in the financial services industry, with at least three years focused on retirement plans.
• Experience managing relationships with plan sponsors and advisor/consultants.
• Knowledge of ERISA, qualified plan design, recordkeeping and plan investments.

Responsibilities

• Establishes, grows and retains profitable relationships with plan sponsors, advisor/consultants, TPAs and other service providers.
• Leads the integrated service team by coordinating home office support functions and additional resources to grow and retain key relationships.
• Develops and executes a strategic business plan for each client that aligns with Nationwide's capabilities.
• Supports small plan sales acquisition by positioning Nationwide services to plan sponsors and participants.
• Leads client onboarding process and ensures a smooth onboarding with Nationwide tools and partners.
