Job summary

Nationwide is seeking a Relationship Manager to oversee strategic account management for defined retirement plans, focusing on small-sized plan sponsors and advisors within the Southeast and Carolinas. You will drive profitability, deepen client relationships, and coordinate with service teams to deliver integrated support.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in financial services with retirement plan expertise, strong ERISA knowledge, and excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Qualifications

• Five years in financial services with at least three years focused on retirement plans.
• Ability to manage relationships with plan sponsors and advisor/consultants.
• Strong knowledge of ERISA, qualified plan design, recordkeeping and investments.

Responsibilities

• Establish, grow and retain profitable relationships with small-sized plan sponsors, advisors/consultants, TPAs and service providers.
• Lead the integrated service team to support relationships and resource coordination.
• Develop and execute strategic business plans for each client aligning client goals with Nationwide capabilities.
• Support small plan sales through effective positioning of services and benefits.
• Oversee client onboarding with Nationwide tools and coordination with implementation teams.
• Drive client engagement and retirement readiness through participant servicing strategies.
