Job summary

Nationwide Retirement Solutions is seeking a Relationship Manager to support Corporate/Private Sector clients in the Southeast and Carolinas. You will manage small-sized plans, coordinate with advisors, TPAs, and service providers, and develop strategic plans to grow and retain relationships.

The role requires extensive travel (up to 75%), strong project management, and knowledge of ERISA and retirement products. A finance/business background and licenses are preferred.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate studies in business or finance or related fields preferred.
• Associates must obtain the required federal and/or state licenses/registrations within the designated time period.
• Designations such as AIF and other Retirement Plan industry designations are encouraged.
• Five years in the financial services industry, with at least three years focused on retirement plans.
• Experience managing relationships with plan sponsors and advisor/consultants of retirement plans.
• Understanding of the retirement plan business and 401k and 403b markets.
• Knowledge of ERISA, qualified plan design, recordkeeping, administration and plan investments and account implementation.
• Awareness of federal and state regulatory requirements and quality standards.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the integrated service team by coordinating home office support functions to grow and retain key relationships.
• Establish, grow and retain profitable relationships with plan sponsors, advisor/consultants, TPAs and other service providers.
• Develop and execute a strategic business plan for each client aligned with Nationwide capabilities.
• Support small plan sales acquisition by positioning our service model and benefits.
• Lead client onboarding with Nationwide tools and partners to ensure smooth setup.
• Develop and implement plan participant servicing strategies with sponsors to drive retirement readiness.
• Represent the client voice in product and service development and enhancements.
• Report to the Director of Relationship Management; no direct managerial responsibilities.
