Job summary

Global Payments is seeking a Sales Executive Merchant Regional to accelerate growth in the local market. You will lead strategic engagements with owners and C-suite leaders, driving new business and expanding partnerships across a defined territory.

You will build a robust pipeline, deliver tailored presentations, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure client success. A background in SAAS/payments and Salesforce familiarity is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• 2+ years of sales experience with a focus on solution selling for small businesses and merchants.
• Track record of exceeding sales targets with a data-driven approach.
• Excellent cold calling, prospecting, and territory development skills.
• Ability to manage client relationships with internal teams to ensure success.
• Ability to grasp technology fundamentals and apply to business needs.
• Open to feedback, accountable, and growth-minded.
• Strong multi-project and deadline management with clear written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Drive new business growth and profitability by identifying high-impact opportunities in the territory.
• Serve as strategic sales lead, consulting with owners and C-suite executives.
• Build and energize a referral network and execute proactive outreach to generate sales momentum.
• Cultivate and manage a healthy pipeline through referrals and self-generated leads.
• Partner with sales teams to expand existing customer relationships and deliver value.
• Deliver persuasive, value-driven presentations demonstrating ROI and fit for client needs.
• Travel within a designated geography to prospect, build relationships, and sign new local businesses.
