Job summary

You will review bid packages, format requests into bid spreadsheets, and coordinate with Outside Sales to align strategies. The role involves negotiating pricing, submitting proposals, and expanding business with digital tools. A background in electrical distribution or related field is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of customer service, project management, or related experience preferred.
• Experience with electrical distribution, lighting, and controls, or adjacent industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Quote low to moderate profile/complex projects.
• Review bid package and all requirements (technical, manufacturers, commercial, documentation).
• Coordinate with Outside Sales and branches to discuss strategy for each proposal.
• Format customer requests into standardized bid spreadsheets.
• Issue RFQs to vendors with clear deadlines and project details.
• Assemble bid tabulations and submit final proposals with required documentation.
• Negotiate pricing with suppliers and propose substitute products when appropriate.
• Attend product meetings and training to maintain product knowledge.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers and suppliers.
• Utilize company digital tools to promote products and win more bids.
