Job summary

Proofpoint in the United States is seeking a field-based Account Manager for the SLED team in Florida. You will manage existing clients and drive net-new sales within a named territory, establishing Proofpoint as a trusted IT security advisor.

You’ll collaborate with customers, channel partners, and industry professionals, meet or exceed sales quotas, and develop regional marketing plans while navigating Public Sector procurement processes.

Qualifications

• Public sector sales experience and ability to navigate procurement processes.
• Strong network of clients, channel partners, and industry professionals in the region.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity or software IT landscape helpful.
• Ability to work autonomously and drive results.
• Analytical mindset to troubleshoot and optimize outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned SLED accounts from prospecting to closure and implementation.
• Position Proofpoint as a trusted IT security advisor to State, Local, & EDU clients.
• Cover named SLED accounts within a defined geographic region and drive new business.
• Sell into Public Sector clients while collaborating with partners and internal teams.
