Job summary

Motorola Solutions in the United States seeks an Area Sales Manager (Strategic Projects Team) to proactively develop large project opportunities across core and emerging technologies, with a focus on public safety and government customers.

You will lead internal teams, influence funding with senior decision makers, forecast orders and revenue, and maintain CRM data while traveling 50%+ within the territory to meet aggressive growth objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of sales, customer success, military and/or public safety experience
• OR 8+ years of sales, customer success, military and/or public safety experience
• Effective negotiation skills on large project opportunities
• Creative and strategic mindset and thinking process
• Ability to drive strategies with government customers for Motorola success in the competitive bid and sole source procurement environment

Responsibilities

• Define strategy, direction, and execution of identified strategic projects
• Lead internal teams on critical projects and issue resolution with clear direction and purpose; Interface with all team members to drive results
• Develop trusted advisor relationships with key decision makers within public safety and government to influence funding
• Achieve orders and revenue targets by maintaining a healthy project pipeline
• Forecast project orders and revenue weekly, monthly, and quarterly; maintain CRM data
