Motorola Solutions seeks an Area Sales Manager (Strategic Projects Team) to develop large project opportunities across core and emerging technologies, focusing on next-generation platforms. You will lead cross-functional teams, build relationships with mayors, CIOs, and other officials, and drive funding strategies in public safety markets.

The role requires negotiating large opportunities, managing multiple projects, and navigating government procurement.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's Degree with 4+ years of sales, customer success, military and/or public safety experience OR 8+ years of sales, customer success, military and/or public safety experience.
• Proven negotiation skills for large projects.
• Strategic mindset and ability to think long-term.
• Experience driving strategies with government customers in competitive bids and sole source procurement environments.
• Ability to manage multiple active projects simultaneously.
• Understanding of the public safety domain, Motorola portfolio, competitive landscape, and procurement processes.

Aufgaben

• Define overall strategy, direction, and execution of strategic projects in the territory.
• Lead internal teams on critical projects and resolve issues with clear direction.
• Build trusted advisor relationships with key decision makers and influencers in public safety and government sectors.
• Achieve orders and revenue targets by maintaining a healthy project pipeline.
• Collaborate with pre-sales, services, marketing, product management, and sales operations to meet territory objectives.
• Accurately forecast project orders and revenue on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
• Monitor competition and technology disruptors impacting the territory and strategy.
• Understand Motorola Solutions contract terms and compliance requirements.
