Job summary

Health & Human Services Comm in Brenham, TX is seeking a Director IV - Assistant Director of Programs (ADOP) to lead the residential programs and services division at the Brenham State Supported Living Center. The role requires strategic planning, policy implementation, and extensive managerial responsibilities to ensure quality care.

Responsibilities include directing operations, staff development, and compliance with HHSC and DOJ agreements, while coordinating budgets and reporting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; and eight (8) years of management experience in a residential facility serving people with intellectual or developmental disabilities, and/or providing healthcare and/or mental health services.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; and four (4) years of management experience in a residential facility serving persons with intellectual or developmental disabilities, and/or providing healthcare and/or mental health services.
• Master’s degree from an accredited college or university; and two (2) years of management experience in a residential facility serving people with intellectual or developmental disabilities, and/or providing healthcare and/or mental health services.

Responsibilities

• Directs residential programs and services to align with the Director’s vision and HHSC standards.
• Oversees hiring, training, and staff development across departments.
• Ensures compliance with the Settlement Agreement and regulatory requirements.
• Manages budget, QA/QI, reporting, and external communications.
