Job summary

Health & Human Services Commission in Brenham, TX is seeking a Day Programs Manager - Activity Director to oversee all day programs and services for residents at the State Supported Living Center. The role ensures program goals align with SAPs, budgets, and regulatory standards, while supervising staff.

You will work with IDTs to design schedules and activities, monitor program effectiveness, and ensure staff coverage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education, management, human services or related field required.
• Experience leading or managing work teams in day/vocational programming preferred.
• Knowledge of Texas HHSC policies and state-operated living centers is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day programs and services for residents in the SSLC.
• Ensure compliance with Department of Labor guidelines and SSLC policy.
• Hire, train, coach and evaluate staff for day programs.
• Develop and implement program guidelines, procedures, and budgets.
• Collaborate with Interdisciplinary Teams (IDTs) to plan programming and set goals.
