Job summary

Hitachi Energy Ltd. is seeking a Procurement Senior Professional in Raleigh, NC to manage strategic sourcing and procurement activities across multiple categories.

You will lead the full lifecycle from market review to contract development and vendor management, ensuring cost-effective and compliant procurement that supports power grid operations and new technologies. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and work authorization to work in the United States.
• 5–7 years of progressive procurement or supply chain management experience in a multinational environment.
• Experience leading complex procurement projects and negotiating contracts.
• Proficiency with procurement software and SAP ERP systems; knowledge of global supply chains and risk management.
• CPSM, CIPM, or comparable professional certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans for goods and services across categories.
• Lead procurement activities including supplier identification, RFP/RFQ, bid evaluation, negotiation, contract drafting, and vendor management.
• Build and maintain collaborative relationships with suppliers to support innovation and continuous improvement.
• Identify cost reduction opportunities and implement procurement strategies to achieve savings while maintaining quality and delivery.
• Monitor supplier performance against KPIs and address performance issues and disputes.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, legal, and finance teams to support business requirements.
• Monitor market conditions and technologies to identify sourcing opportunities and mitigate risks.
• Prepare and present reports on procurement activities, savings, and supplier performance.
• Ensure compliance with external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
