Job summary

Hitachi Energy in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Project Procurement Specialist to lead end-to-end procurement for large EPC projects, ensuring On-Time Delivery and cost targets. You will own the Project Procurement Plan, coordinate with engineering, project controls, and supplier teams, and drive risk mitigation across suppliers and logistics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of supply chain or procurement experience in project environments (EPC, grid, utilities).
• Proven ability to manage large-scale procurement plans and complex projects.
• Experience with supplier quality processes (ITPs, FAT/SAT, NCR/SNCRP).
• Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP or Oracle), scheduling tools (Primavera P6 or MS Project), and analytics tools (Power BI, Excel).
• Fluency in English; willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage Project Procurement Plans (PPP) aligned with project schedules and milestones.
• Support RFI/RFQ activities and evaluations with cross-functional teams.
• Identify and mitigate supply, logistics, capacity, quality, and schedule risks.
• Lead sourcing, contracting, supplier communications, and negotiations for project materials/services.
• Expedite activities, monitor milestones, and drive recovery to meet On-Time Delivery.
• Coordinate supplier quality activities (ITPs, FAT/SAT, NCR/SNCRP) and documentation.
• Publish procurement dashboards and monitor project performance metrics.
