Hitachi Energy USA Inc. seeks a Category/Commodity Manager in Raleigh, NC.

You will own spend categories, develop sourcing strategies, and partner with proposal, project management, engineering, and supplier-quality teams to ensure material availability and on‑time project delivery. The role operates in a fast-paced tender and project environment, with responsibilities spanning cost reduction, supplier performance, contract terms, and global-category collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or similar field.
• 8–10 years of experience may substitute education.
• Minimum 5 years of SCM experience, preferably in Category Management or Strategic Sourcing.
• Experience driving strategic category strategies for demanding power automation projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies to improve total cost of ownership and supplier performance.
• Negotiate contracts, SLAs, pricing, lead times, and terms with suppliers.
• Evaluate quotations, support RFQ activities, and assist bidding and budgeting.
• Build and manage supplier relationships to support growth, quality and continuity.
• Lead supplier qualification, risk assessments, audits, and supplier development.
