Job summary

Goodwin’s Global Operations Team is seeking a Manager to own pricing strategy and execution across AFAs, fixed fees, retainers, and value-based models. You will partner with lawyers, clients, and Finance, Client Development, and LPM to drive commercially smart pricing decisions that balance value with profitability.

You’ll develop AI-enabled pricing insights, pricing menus, and cost models, mentor analysts, and help the firm move beyond time-based billing while maintaining rigorous governance

Qualifications

• 3–5 years pricing, commercial strategy, or finance experience in a law firm or professional services environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, or related field.
• Proven ability to influence stakeholders and manage pricing requests independently.
• Strong commercial acumen with focus on value over rates.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and storytelling skills.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end pricing proposals for AFAs, fixed fees, retainers, and value-based models.
• Lead live pricing requests, RFPs, panel submissions, and fee negotiations.
• Lead or support client negotiations with economics-backed positions.
• Develop pricing strategies that are profitable and sustainable.
• Monitor budget-to-actual performance and report variances.
• Mentor analysts and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
