Job summary

Goodwin’s Global Operations Team seeks a Manager to own pricing strategy and execution across AFAs, fixed fees, retainers, and value-based models. You’ll collaborate with Finance, Client Development, and Practice Groups to deliver profitable, value-driven pricing decisions for high-stakes matters.

You will build and refine pricing menus, leverage data insights, and mentor analysts while advancing pricing transformation projects. This role emphasizes strategic thinking, collaboration, and impact.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of pricing, commercial strategy, or finance experience in a law firm or professional services.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, or related field.
• Proven ability to manage pricing requests independently and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong commercial acumen with a passion for value, not just rates.
• Excellent communication and storytelling, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end pricing proposals across AFAs, fixed fees, retainers, and value-based models.
• Manage live pricing requests, RFPs, panel submissions, and fee negotiations under tight deadlines.
• Lead or support client negotiations with a data-backed approach.
• Build pricing strategies that are profitable and sustainable.
• Monitor budget-to-actual performance and report on hours and rates.
• Collaborate with Legal Project Management and Finance to support pricing outcomes.
