Job summary

Kiva is seeking a Manager, Strategic Partnerships in the United States to grow philanthropic support by cultivating individual donors and donor-advised fund partners, handling mid-level to major gifts, and translating impact into engagement opportunities.

You will collaborate across Finance, Marketing, Product and Engineering to strengthen donor relationships, craft compelling communications, and optimize donor journeys.

Qualifications

• 5 years experience in nonprofit fundraising, strategic partnerships, or a related field, including cultivating and stewarding individual donors and prospects.
• Experience developing donor engagement strategies and moving prospects toward meaningful philanthropic commitments.
• Familiarity with donor-advised funds, philanthropic advisors, and major giving; experience engaging these audiences is a plus.
• Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to translate complex programs and impact data into compelling proposals, reports, and donor communications.
• Experience collaborating across functions and managing multiple projects, priorities, and stakeholder relationships independently.

Responsibilities

• Individual and mid-level donor strategy and engagement (40%). Manage and cultivate relationships with a portfolio of mid-level and major-tier donors and prospects, developing tailored engagement, solicitation, and stewardship plans.
• Cross-functional partnership development (30%). Work with Finance and SP colleagues to align on donor commitments and stewardship; partner with Product and Engineering to improve donor communications.
• Communications and marketing (30%). Collaborate with Marketing to coordinate donor messaging; plan, write, and edit clear donor communications; analyze results to improve outreach.
