Job summary

Generalist is seeking a Strategic Deals Lead to own the structuring, negotiation, and expansion of its most important commercial relationships. You will work with senior leadership to craft creative deal structures for frontier AI and robotics collaborations, including data rights, IP, and deployment terms.

Qualifications

• Independently structure, negotiate, and close complex high-value technology transactions or partnerships.
• Negotiate agreements involving novel technologies, non-standard structures, IP and data considerations.
• Strong commercial judgment to differentiate critical vs negotiable issues.
• Translate engineering/product concepts into commercial contracts and requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for senior leadership decisions.
• Operate effectively under pressure and align multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own structuring, negotiation, and closing of the most complex commercial transactions and partnerships, from terms to renewals and expansions.
• Develop creative deal structures for emerging technologies and business models balancing value, economics, and feasibility.
• Lead negotiations with counsel on issues including data rights, IP, exclusivity, and deployment for AI/robotics contexts.
• Collaborate with leadership and technical teams to translate requirements into deal structures.
• Drive renewal and expansion strategies to deepen long-term value.
• Synthesize learnings into reusable negotiation positions and frameworks.
