Generalist in Somerville, MA is seeking a Strategic Deals Lead to own the structuring, negotiation, and expansion of its most important commercial relationships. You will design deal structures, negotiate with senior executives, and align legal and technical teams to protect and enable groundbreaking robotics and AI partnerships.

• Independently structuring, negotiating, and closing complex, high-value technology transactions.
• Experience with novel technologies, non-standard structures, or IP and data considerations.
• Strong commercial judgment and ability to distinguish strategic issues from negotiable ones.
• Ability to translate engineering concepts into commercial requirements and recommendations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for senior leadership.
• Ability to operate under pressure and align stakeholders with competing objectives.
• Comfort working in a fast-changing environment with evolving priorities.

Responsabilités

• Strategic deal ownership: Own the structuring, negotiation, and closing of Generalist’s most complex commercial transactions and partnerships.
• Commercial structuring: Develop creative deal structures for emerging technologies and business models.
• Negotiation & legal terms: Lead negotiations and coordinate with legal on data-use rights, IP, exclusivity, deployment.
• Technical & cross-functional partnership: Collaborate with Applied AI & Partnerships, leadership, and tech teams to translate requirements into deal structures.
• Renewals & expansion: Drive strategy for major partnerships renewals and growth.
• Deal strategy & playbooks: Build reusable negotiation positions and market insights for leadership.
