Job summary

Generalist is seeking a Strategic Deals Lead to own structuring, negotiation, and expansion of its most important commercial relationships. You will craft creative deal structures for emerging AI/robotics tech, negotiate with senior executives, and coordinate with legal on data-use rights, IP, and deployment terms.

You will work with Applied AI & Partnerships and leadership to translate technical needs into commercial commitments, manage renewals, and drive long-term value across partnerships.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to independently structure, negotiate, and close complex, high-value tech transactions or strategic partnerships.
• Experience negotiating agreements with novel technologies or non-standard commercial structures.
• Strong commercial judgment to distinguish critical issues from negotiable ones.
• Ability to translate engineering concepts into commercial terms and contractual requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication supporting senior leadership decisions.
• Ability to operate under pressure and align stakeholders with competing objectives.

Responsibilities

• Own the structuring, negotiation, and closing of Generalist’s complex commercial transactions and partnerships.
• Develop creative deal structures for emerging technologies and business models.
• Lead negotiations with partners and collaborate with legal on contract terms including IP and data rights.
• Work with cross-functional teams to translate product and deployment requirements into deal commitments.
• Drive renewals and expansions for major partnerships and maximize long-term value.
• Synthesize transaction learnings into actionable recommendations for leadership.
