Via is transforming transportation and seeking a Director of Strategy and Operations to lead a first-of-its-kind intermodal transit service in Rochester, MN. This role blends entrepreneurship, business development and operations management, and requires building the plane while flying it.

You will lead drivers, dispatchers, mechanics and on-ground teams, develop KPIs, report on performance, and ensure compliance across all levels while partnering with senior management and external partners.

Qualifications

Experienced operations leader with strong people management skills.
Proven ability to plan, coordinate and optimize complex operations.
Excellent communicator able to align teams and stakeholders.
Demonstrated track record of driving performance and accountability.

Responsibilities

Manage on-site daily operations of Via's Rochester service.
Prioritize issues for drivers and dispatchers and optimize 24/7 scheduling.
Lead and develop a large team of drivers, dispatchers, mechanics, and on-ground staff.
Build relationships with driver partners, customers, and community leaders.
Coordinate with Via senior management and external partners.
Develop clear metrics and weekly KPI reporting for the team.
