Job summary

Via is seeking a Strategy and Operations Principal to lead a first-of-its-kind intermodal transit service in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. You will manage on-site operations, mentor dispatchers and shift managers, and build relationships with drivers, customers, and local partners.

You will collaborate with Via senior management to align with strategic goals, develop metrics, and drive improvements in efficiency and customer satisfaction while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent
• 6+ years of operations management experience
• Strong leadership and people development skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management
• Ability to drive processes in a fast-paced setting

Responsibilities

• Oversee on-site daily operations for Via’s service with partners
• Prioritize and solve scheduling and real-time operational issues
• Lead and mentor dispatchers and shift managers
• Build relationships with drivers, customers and local partners
• Collaborate with Via senior management and external partners
• Define KPIs and provide weekly performance visibility
• Prepare reports and analyze data to improve efficiency and customer experience
• Ensure compliance with laws, company policies and safety standards
• Coach and motivate the on-site team to maintain a high-performance culture
