Job summary

Via Transportation, Inc. in Rochester, MN seeks a Director of Strategy and Operations to lead an intermodal transit service, build scalable processes, and drive performance in a fast-paced tech-enabled environment.

You will manage on-site daily operations, coach a multi-disciplinary crew of drivers, dispatchers, mechanics, and on-the-ground staff, and partner with local organizations to deliver exceptional service. A Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in operations management.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• Local to or willingness to relocate to Rochester, MN.

Responsibilities

• Manage the on-site daily operations of Via’s service in Rochester, MN.
• Prioritize operational issues as a real-time contact for drivers and dispatchers and provide scheduling solutions.
• Lead, coach and develop a large team of drivers, dispatchers, mechanics, and on-the-ground staff.
• Develop relationships with driver partners, customers, community leaders, and local organizations.
• Liaise with Via senior management and external partners.
• Develop clear metrics and report weekly on KPIs and priorities.
• Prepare reports and analyze data to improve operations and maximize efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant policies and regulations.
