Job summary

JLL in Richmond, Virginia, is seeking a Senior Occupancy Planner to partner with end users to develop innovative space solutions and manage occupancy data in line with workplace programs. The hybrid role requires three days on-site weekly, reporting to the Regional Occupancy Planning Manager.

The position emphasizes space planning, data management, and collaboration with executive stakeholders to optimize real estate assets and drive strategic decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Real Estate, Architecture, Interior Design, or related field.
• 5–7 years of strategic-level work experience in occupancy or space planning within corporate real estate.
• Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with change management and executive engagement, showing ability to influence senior leadership.
• Strong presentation and communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Build strong relationships with end users to understand business needs and inform space solutions.
• Deliver presentations to stakeholders with clear executive presence.
• Develop and execute space planning strategies: restack, allocations, and move sequencing.
• Forecast space demand using headcount projections 1–3 years ahead.
• Create compelling business cases for real estate actions with timelines, options, and space availability.
• Aggregate and present data to derive actionable insights for decision-making.
