Job summary

HDR is seeking a Navy Programs Director to lead the Federal Business Group's Navy initiatives. You will drive strategic direction, oversee broad program execution, and coordinate with Federal Regional Directors and client partners to grow Navy programs across the United States.

The role requires extensive leadership experience, strong financial acumen, and the ability to motivate diverse teams. Travel 20–40% is expected; HDR emphasizes its employee-owned culture and cross-disciplinary

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, planning or science; master’s degree preferred.
Professional registrations in area of study.
Minimum 15 years relevant industry experience.
Demonstrated experience in development and management of diverse teams.
Demonstrated experience in strategic planning and program management.
Demonstrated experience in the analysis and interpretation of business financial data.

Responsibilities

Lead Navy Programs strategic direction and visioning.
Support sales teams to achieve sales goals related to Navy Programs.
Develop new projects, markets, business classes, project planning, financial information, staffing requirements, marketing materials and other related matters for Navy Programs.
Plan, direct, and monitor all aspects of program execution across multiple disciplines.
Coordinate with Federal Regional Directors and oversee Navy Programs staff.
Prepare annual budgets and monitor performance of Navy Programs to achieve goals.
Monitor Navy Programs direction, policies and risk management.
Work with managers across company and business groups on programs.
Contribute to strategic planning with company leadership and stakeholders.
On occasion, serve as project principal/program manager on significant projects.
Assist relationships with client bases and partnering organizations.
Serve as a model in business and community.
