Job summary

HDR seeks a Navy Programs Director to lead the Federal Business Group’s Navy Programs growth across the United States. You will guide strategic direction, oversee diverse disciplines, and work with external partners to deliver high‑quality systems for naval services.

This senior role requires executive leadership, strong financial acumen, and the ability to manage complex projects and stakeholder relationships across government clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, planning or science; master’s degree preferred.
• Professional registrations in area of study.
• Minimum 5 years leadership in large, complex organizations at executive level.
• Experience building diverse teams and strategic planning.
• Ability to analyze financial data and drive quality and value.

Responsibilities

• Lead Navy Programs strategic direction and visioning.
• Support sales teams to achieve Navy Programs goals.
• Develop projects, markets, budgets, staffing, and marketing materials for Navy Programs.
• Plan, direct, and monitor program execution across multiple disciplines.
• Coordinate with Federal Directors and manage Navy Programs staff.
• Prepare annual budgets and monitor performance to meet goals.
• Monitor Navy Programs direction, capabilities, and risk management.
• Collaborate with leadership on company-wide initiatives and external partners.
• May serve as project principal on significant contracts.
