Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Account Manager for the mining sector, covering the Welkom region. The role blends remote client management with on-site visits to mines and industrial partners, aiming to grow key accounts and ensure top-tier service.

You will nurture relationships, identify upsell opportunities, lead quarterly business reviews, and coordinate with sales, technical, and logistics teams to deliver solutions. Travel is extensive, and a valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in account management or sales in mining/heavy industry.
• Proven track record in growing key accounts.
• Strong understanding of mining operations and challenges.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Proficient with CRM systems (Salesforce) and MS Office.
• Willingness to travel extensively and balance hybrid work.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow a portfolio of key mining accounts.
• Develop strategic account plans to maximize revenue and loyalty.
• Serve as main client contact, addressing inquiries and issues.
