Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
Minimum 7 years of project management experience in mining or heavy industrial projects.
Proven track record delivering complex operational improvement projects.
In-depth knowledge of mining processes, equipment, and safety protocols.
Strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies (PMI, Prince2).
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Proficiency in MS Project and Primavera P6; budget management experience.
Pr.Eng. or PMP certification is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute project plans for mining operations enhancements, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resources.
Manage cross-functional project teams comprised of engineers, geologists, operations personnel, and external contractors.
Oversee the implementation of new technologies and process improvements within mining operations.
Ensure all projects comply with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies.
Manage project budgets and control costs, ensuring delivery within financial constraints.
Facilitate clear communication with stakeholders, including site management and suppliers.
Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and guide adherence to plans.
Manage vendor and contractor relationships, ensuring performance and contract compliance.
Prepare detailed project reports and present findings and recommendations to senior management.
