Job summary

W.W. Grainger, Inc. is seeking a results-oriented field sales professional to maximize revenue across designated accounts, including military bases.

You will grow existing relationships and secure new business while delivering Grainger's value proposition through solutions and strong customer engagement. The role requires 3+ years of outside sales or military experience, a high school diploma, and a willingness to be in the field four to five days a week.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 3+ years of direct outside sales experience or military experience.
• Knowledge of sales forecasting, opportunity management and customer planning.
• Able to communicate effectively in today's business environment.
• Ability to close sales and resolve customer objections.
• Understand financial concepts and total cost of ownership.
• Use a structured sales process and maintain a pipeline.
• Field presence with customers four to five days per week.

Responsibilities

• Maximize revenue for designated account package including military bases by growing sales within existing accounts and developing new ones.
• Understand customer goals and respond to changing needs to keep operations running smoothly.
• Demonstrate knowledge of market data and access to resources for new developments.
• Support managed inventory tasks to increase customer contacts and sales.
• Explain Grainger's Value Proposition and provide solutions to grow profitable sales.
• Develop and implement account strategies with regular business reviews for military customers.
