Job summary

Truist is seeking a Merchant Services sales professional to identify and develop opportunities in an assigned market, delivering consultative solutions that address client payment processing needs.

You will collaborate with bankers and product partners, drive new business development, and report on sales activities and revenue across the client portfolio. Regular travel is required; the role targets diverse client revenue sizes and involves relationship planning and capital solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• 5+ years of sales experience in financial or payments products/services.
• Ability to present and communicate effectively and confidently.
• Experience working across departments/lines of business within large financial organizations.
• Growth mindset to adapt and resolve escalating issues.
• Mentor teammates to help them grow in their role.
• Must be able to travel.

Responsibilities

• Executes sales plan and develops partnerships to identify and drive client and prospect opportunities.
• Fosters relationships with bankers and product partners for strategic client planning.
• Sell payment processing solutions to existing clients and prospects with proactive engagement.
• Develops detailed relationship plans for clients/prospects to identify retention and acquisition opportunities.
• Provide client working capital services and solutions focused on receivables.
• Adheres to policies and escalates issues to leadership as needed.
• Consults with clients via in-person, email, voicemail, and virtual meetings.
• Report accurately on sales efforts, progression, and revenue.
