Alvarez & Marsal Private Equity Performance Improvement in Chicago seeks a Senior Associate to lead merger integration and carve-out engagements for upper-middle market and large-cap portfolios. You will guide cross-functional teams through Day 1 readiness, TSA planning, and post-close execution across finance, operations, and IT.

Qualifications

• 4–6+ years of professional consulting experience, specializing in merger integration, business transformation, and change management.
• Experience in integration planning and divestitures is a plus.
• Deep functional expertise in finance, HR/organizational design, leadership and stakeholder involvement, and communications planning.
• MBA preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Initiative and drive; flexibility to travel at least 75% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Provide service excellence by identifying client issues and developing recommendations within the engagement context.
• Assist with workstreams within the Integration Management Office—Synergies, TSAs, Day 1 readiness, and more.
• Support Day 1 and Day 100 planning, execution, and performance improvement in key areas.
• Drive performance improvement assessments across an enterprise and implement recommendations.
• Track progress against objectives and adjust integration strategies as required.
