Alvarez & Marsal Private Equity Performance Improvement – Manager, Merger Integration & Carve‑Outs is a full‑time role based in Charlotte, NC. The position focuses on merger integration, carve‑outs, and performance improvement across the deal lifecycle, with significant client exposure and hands‑on leadership.

The MI&C team addresses pre‑deal diligence through Day 1 readiness and post‑close execution, requiring expert stakeholder management, strategic planning, and cross‑functional

Qualifications

• 5–8+ years of professional consulting experience in merger integration, business transformation, and change management.
• Experience leading one or more workstreams in business transformation.
• Deep functional expertise in Finance & Accounting, HR/Organizational design, or related areas.
• Flexibility to travel at least 75% of the time.
• MBA preferred; excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide service excellence by identifying client issues, determining needs, and delivering recommendations within the engagement.
• Lead workstreams within Integration Management Office (IMO) – e.g., Synergies, TSAs, Day 1 Readiness, and Executive Reporting.
• Lead large, complex engagements to design and implement business and technology solutions for PE clients and portfolio companies.
• Plan and drive Day 1 to Day 100 objectives, including strategic planning, operational optimization, and back‑office integration.
• Oversee performance improvement assessments and implementation of recommendations.
• Track progress against objectives and adjust integration strategies as required.
