Job summary

CPG in Ashburn, VA is seeking a Director of Service Preconstruction & Estimation to lead the preconstruction department, oversee estimation activities, and drive bid and contract processes.

You will mentor teams, develop KPIs, coordinate with Service, Engineering, Finance and Legal, and ensure best practices across planning, design, construction and commissioning for mission-critical facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction, electronics, electrical theory or similar discipline or equivalent work experience.
• At least 8 years in data center battery, UPS, HVAC, and service operations contracts.
• PMO depth with project and communications protocols.
• Strong leadership with team-building and talent development.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Establishes strategy for development of estimates and proposals.
• Manages bids, negotiation, and contracts with subcontractors with cross-functional teams.
• Develops KPI reporting for project deliverables.
• Mentors and develops team members at all levels.
• Leads cross-functional coordination among planning, design, construction, and commissioning.
• Oversees budget and financial reporting for the Preconstruction group.
