Job summary

CPG is seeking a Director of Preconstruction & Estimation to lead the Preconstruction department for mission-critical data center projects in Ashburn, VA. You will own the development of estimates, budgets, and bid strategies, coordinating with Construction, Engineering, Finance, Procurement and Legal to win contracts.

The role requires 8+ years in data center design/construction, strong leadership, mentorship, and a track record of driving process improvements in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction, electronics, electrical theory or similar discipline, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 8 years of data center design and construction experience.
• Strong leadership with experience mentoring and developing teams.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Establishes and leads the strategy for development of estimates and proposals.
• Manages bid, negotiation, and contract award activities with subcontractors.
• Develops KPI reporting and guides cross-functional teams for project delivery.
• Leads and grows the Preconstruction team and ensures training and process improvement.
• Coordinates with Construction, Engineering, Finance, Procurement and Legal on RFPs and bid documents.
• Ensures end-to-end coordination across planning, design, construction and commissioning.
