Job summary

CPG is seeking a Director of Preconstruction & Estimation to lead the Preconstruction department in Ashburn, VA. You will strategize estimates and proposals, oversee bids and subcontractor relations, and drive KPI-based reporting across multiple teams.

The role emphasizes mentoring, team development, and adherence to best practices in mission-critical facility projects, with collaboration across construction, engineering, finance, procurement, and legal groups.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction or related field or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years’ experience in data center design and construction.
• PMO depth with project/communication protocols.
• Strong leadership with team-building and development ability.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; cross-functional work.

Responsibilities

• Establishes strategy and process for estimates and proposals.
• Leads bid, negotiation, and subcontractor awards with cross-functional teams.
• Mentors and develops Preconstruction team; defines KPI reporting.
• Coordinates with internal teams for RFPs and bid documents.
• Guides budgets, contracts, and project plans during preconstruction.
• Oversight of end-to-end coordination across planning, design, and execution.
