Job summary

CPG in Ashburn, VA is seeking a Senior Construction Estimator to lead preconstruction efforts for data center projects. You will develop ROM and detailed budgets, review RFPs, and assess constructability to support bids.

Collaborating with sales, engineering, project management and finance, you will manage bid documents, mentor the preconstruction team, and build supplier/subcontractor relationships to ensure accurate, competitive estimates.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of data center estimating experience with WSFO/TFO; capacity recapture preferred.
• Degree in Construction Cost Management or Quantity Surveying.
• 15 years of estimating/cost control experience; knowledge of MEP and ASC cost elements.
• Experience building estimating standards/programs across a large organization.
• Proficiency with scheduling tools (MS Project, P6) and cost software.

Responsibilities

• Review RFP/RFQ documents to understand project requirements.
• Read and assess construction design documents and specs for accuracy.
• Generate ROM and formal estimates for prospective projects.
• Develop and compile proposal documents for bidding processes.
• Maintain bid documents; manage submittal processes with subs and suppliers.
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, project management and finance.
• Lead and mentor the preconstruction team.
