Job summary

CPG in Ashburn, VA seeks a Preconstruction Senior Construction Estimator to shape financial feasibility for large-scale data center projects. You will develop detailed cost estimates, ROM figures, and budget plans supporting design-build, capacity recapture, and white space fit-out initiatives.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of data center estimating experience with WSFO/TFO;Capacity Recapture preferred.
• Construction Cost Management or Quantity Surveying degree or equivalent.
• 15 years of experience in estimating/cost control with MEP/ASC cost elements.
• Experience building estimating standards/programs across a large organization.
• Ability to determine critical path and sequencing using P6 or MS Project.
• Ability to interpret contract terms and exhibits for project requirements.
• Proficiency with Trimble/Accubid, RSMeans, and MS Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate RFP/RFQ documents to understand requirements.
• Read and assess design documents and specs for accuracy.
• Participate in site walks to understand scope and constructability.
• Identify risks and propose mitigation strategies during scope creation.
• Generate ROM and formal estimates for prospective projects.
• Assist in developing proposal documents for competitive bidding.
• Maintain bid documents after contract awards.
• Develop relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Lead project kickoff meetings for handoffs to PM team.
• Oversee subcontractor and supplier submittals for preconstruction.
• Identify additional revenue opportunities for the organization.
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, project management, and finance.
• Support leadership and mentorship within the preconstruction team.
