Job summary

Langan Engineering & Environmental Services seeks an Environmental Practice Lead - Power Sector to head and grow our national environmental compliance group. You will guide air quality modeling, permitting, site assessment, remediation, and due diligence while integrating with our site/civil and geotechnical capabilities.

You will lead senior consultants, shape growth in power and data center markets, and mentor staff while managing client relationships and project delivery excellence.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in the environmental industry with 5+ years in the power sector.
• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Hydrogeology, or Science; Master’s degree preferred.
• Professional certifications/credentials preferred (PE, CHMM, PG, etc.).
• In‑depth knowledge of environmental regulations and experience providing strategic development, permitting and operational support.
• Strong people, project, and client management skills.
• Excellent public speaking, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team; valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Apply knowledge, technical expertise, strategic insight, and leadership to elevate our environmental capabilities in the power sector.
• Refinement of power sector market strategy and materials.
• Oversee work product quality, expand services, drive revenue growth and profitability.
• Identify technical and geographic growth areas and upcoming trends.
• Collaborate with Data Centers and Environmental leadership to develop growth plans and ensure staff utilization.
• Engage in Business Development to develop new clients and maintain relationships with existing ones.
• Coordinate with cross‑discipline teams to integrate environmental services with other capabilities.
• Provide direct oversight and management of junior staff; coach, train, and motivate team members.
