Job summary

Langan Engineering & Environmental Services seeks an Environmental Practice Lead for the Power Sector to lead a national team of consultants delivering air quality modeling, permitting, site assessment, remediation, and environmental due diligence.

This role offers growth in power and data center markets, cross‑discipline collaboration with site/civil and geotechnical teams, and opportunities to expand services, win new clients, and mentor staff.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in environmental industry with 5+ years in power sector.
• Degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Hydrogeology, or Science; master’s preferred.
• Professional certification/credentials such as PE, CHMM, or PG preferred.
• Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and permitting & operational support.
• Excellent public speaking, written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lead, manage staff, and grow client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight for environmental projects in the power sector.
• Refine market strategy and materials for the power sector.
• Ensure work product quality, service expansion, revenue growth and profitability.
• Identify growth areas and trends, including data centers.
• Develop growth plans with leadership and ensure staff utilization.
• Engage in business development and client relationship maintenance.
• Coach and mentor junior staff and participate in hiring.
