Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related sciences preferred.
• Master's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Laboratory Management or related field preferred.
• Minimum of five years progressive experience in clinical laboratory operations, with at least three years in administrative management.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily laboratory operations across core laboratory, microbiology, blood bank, anatomic pathology, histology/cytology, specimen processing, phlebotomy, point-of-care testing, and ambulatory labs.
• Ensures service quality, turnaround times, and productivity goals are met.
• Develops staffing models, SOPs, and performance expectations across sites.
• Drives strategic planning, innovation, automation, and technology adoption.
• Ensures regulatory compliance with CAP, CLIA, Joint Commission, and other agencies; leads accreditation activities.
• Manages budgets, monitors revenue and expenses, and optimizes cost-per-test.
• Leads workforce development, succession planning, and employee engagement.
• Partners with clinical leaders and administrative teams on strategic initiatives.
